      The missions of Cure Alzheimer's Fund is to fund research with the highest probability of preventing, slowing or reversing Alzheimer’s disease.

      Alzheimer’s is a 21st century global health crisis.

      • 6 millions Americans are living with Alzheimer’s now
      • Two-thirds of patients and caregivers are women
      • Alzheimer’s is the sixth leading cause of death in the US, and the only fatal disease, of the top 6, where mortality rates are increasing
      • There are 15+ million unpaid caregivers. This disease broadly impacts families and their friends

      WILEY #MYOPENSCIENCESTORY CAMPAIGN RULES

       

      1.  CAMPAIGN ELIBILITY: Wiley #MyOpenScienceStory story Campaign (the “Campaign”) is open to all participants worldwide, who are at least 18 years old at the time of participation.

      Void where prohibited by law.

      2. CAMPAIGN PERIOD: The Campaign begins at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on October 22, 2018 and ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on November 15, 2018.

      3.  SPONSOR: John Wiley & Sons, Inc., 111 River Street, Hoboken, NJ 07030. ADMINISTRATOR: John Wiley & Sons, Inc., 111 River Street, Hoboken, NJ 07030.

      4. CAMPAIGN SUBMISSION:

      a.      To participate in the Campaign, submit your photo, video, or text story by using hashtag #MyOpenScienceStory on Twitter and Instagram or submit through our microsite http://myopensciencestory.hscampaigns.com. Your Twitter and/or Instagram account must be public in order for the hashtag to be seen.

      b. Each participant may enter only one story per hour during the Campaign period.

      c. Each submission must comply with the following restrictions:

          -           Must NOT contain nudity, lewd or vulgar behaviour

      -           Must be the participant’s original content and not contain material that infringes on or violates any other person’s or entity’s rights, including but not limited to rights privacy, publicity or intellectual property rights, including but not limited to copyright infringement.

      - Must align with the campaign prompt, offering personal, original perspective on how open science drives work forward. 

      -           Must NOT contain brand names or trademarks

      -           Must NOT contain material that is hateful, tortious, defamatory, slanderous, libelous or promotes discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age.

      -           Must NOT contain material that is unlawful, in violation of, or contrary to the laws or regulations in any state where the submission is created.

      -           If your submission includes a photograph or video and is submitted through Sponsor’s microsite, the uploaded photographic and video files must comply with the following specifications:

                              1. Image size: under 30 MB

                              2. Image formats: JPG, GIF, PNG

                              3. Video size: under 300 MB

                  4. Video formats: MPEG (.mpg), QuickTime (.mov), AVI (.avi), Windows Media (.wmv), Flash Video (fly), or Real Media (.m)

      Failure of any submission to comply with the above restrictions (collectively the “Content Restrictions”), as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, shall result in disqualification and may include removal form the site.

      5.  DONATION: For each submission, Sponsor will make a donation, up to a maximum of USD 3,000, to Cure Alzheimer's Fund, to be used to fund Alzheimer's research. 

      6.  LICENSE:

      License: Participant retains ownership of the copyright in any submitted materials. However, by entering materials in this Campaign, participant grants Sponsor the non-exclusive irrevocable, royalty-free, perpetual right to edit, adapt, use and publish in any media now known or hereafter discovered any or all of the text, photographs, or videos without compensation to the participant, his or her successors or assigns, or any other entity.

      7.  DISCLAIMER AND INDEMNIFICATION: By participating in this Campaign, Participants agree to be bound by these Campaign Rules. Sponsor is not responsible for (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by participants, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Campaign; (2) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (3) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the submission process or the Campaign; or (4) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Campaign or the processing of submissions.

      Participants, by participating in this Campaign, hereby waive and release, and agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless, Sponsor and its respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, distributors, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents, and their respective successors and assigns (the “Indemnified Parties”), from and against, any and all rights, claims and causes of action whatsoever that may have, or which may arise, against any of them for any liability to any matter, cause or thing whatsoever, including, but not limited to any injury, loss, damage, whether direct, compensatory, incidental or consequential, to person, including death and property, arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from their participation in the Campaign or Sponsor’s use of the materials submitted for the Campaign, including without limitation, any claims relating to violations of Content Restrictions.

      8.  PERSONAL INFORMATION: By participating in this Campaign, Participants consent to the use of their personal data as detailed in the Sponsor's Privacy Policy at https://www.wiley.com/en-gb/privacy. 

      9.  AGREEMENT TO CAMPAIGN RULES: By participating in this Campaign, each entrant unconditionally agrees to and accepts these Campaign Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Campaign.

      10.  LAW AND VENUE: The laws of the country set forth below shall apply according to your country of residence, without regard to conflicts   of law rules. The corresponding jurisdiction shall be the forum for adjudication of all disputes arising in connection with this agreement:
